The Florida Department of State is located in Tallahassee FL.
The Secretary of State is head of the Department of State and is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Governor. The Secretary serves as the State's Chief of Elections, Chief Cultural Officer, the State Protocol Officer, and the head of the Department of State.
The Department consists of Office of the Secretary and the Divisions of Administrative Services, Corporations, Cultural Affairs, Elections, Historical Resources, and Library, Archives and Information Services.
