The Accounting Department is responsible for:
 •Ensuring fiscal integrity through the establishment of sound processes that safeguard assets
 
•Disbursing funds for County departments and Chesterfield County Public Schools
 
•Processing and managing an accurate and timely payroll for all County employees
 
•Accurately recording and reporting financial data in compliance with GAAP, GASB, FASB, State and Federal requirements
 
•Administering the general ledger and fixed asset systems for recording and reporting financial activity
 
•Assisting County departments with identification of funding sources for grants, the application processes, and compliance
 
•Providing fiscal agent services for the Greater Richmond Convention Center Authority".
 
•Serve as fiscal agent for various organizations.
