Cornwall Central High School is high school serving New Windsor NY students in Cornwall Central School District.
Cornwall Central High School, which is housed in a state-of-the-art facility
that opened in September of 2003, has approximately 1160 students in
grades 9-12.
Providing a rich and full curriculum to all students, CCHS also offers a range of
advanced level courses that prepare students for Advanced Placement exams in
twelve different areas. In addition, CCHS students have the opportunity to earn
college credit in foreign language through the State University of New York at
Albany’s University in High School program as well as in English, Mathematics,
and Business through the SUNY Orange Community College in the High School
Program. CCHS seniors also have the opportunity to enroll in an extensive array
of courses taught by instructors from around the world. These experiences are
made possible through CCHS’s participation in the Virtual High School on-line
program of instruction.
Consistently ranked as the top high school in a three county area, CCHS students
distinguish themselves on numerous performance indicators. From New
York State assessments to mean SAT Scores to Regents Diploma graduation
rates, CCHS sets the standard for the region.
Outside the classroom Cornwall students distinguish themselves in a vast and
diverse range of extracurricular activities:

• Music program that produces numerous All-County, Area All-State, and
All-State instrumental and vocal performers
• Annual foreign exchange program with a lycée in the south of France
• Student-run organic garden project providing fresh vegetables to the school
cafeteria and local food shelters
• Forty-four different interscholastic sports teams including various
Section IX and New York State championship squads and individuals
