Ambulance Companies providing coverage for Rapho Township
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in Pennsylvania are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and operate at the ALS (Advanced life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), or QRS (Quick Response Service) level of service. QRS units provide non- transport BLS services and in many cases can arrive on scene in advance of the transport ambulance to provide life-saving care and treatment.
All EMS units in Pennsylvania, regardless of their level of licensure, operate by a sset of State Protocols and are staffed with Emergency Medical Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Pre-Hospital RN's, or Health Professional Physician.
EMS services are provided to the residents of Rapho Township by two (2) ambulance services and a QRS service.
Northwest EMS provides services throughout the Township in the Manheim communities and the northern portions of the Township.
Susquehanna Valley EMS (SVEMS) provides services to the southern end of the Township and Mount Joy area Communities.
Mastersonville Fire Company QRS provides non-transport BLS services in the northern portion of the Township and areas north and west of Manheim Borough,
