Welcome to the Town of New Paltz NY Building Department.  The purpose of the Building Department is to provide a minimum level of protection from the hazards of fire, inadequate building construction and improper maintenance in residential and non-residential buildings.   The Building Department also enforces the many of the Zoning laws and regulations.   Through the enforcement of Local and State codes, rules, and regulations the Builidng Department is committed to making the Town of New Paltz a safe, healty and comfortable place to live, work and play.
