Service areas include records, pension, education, disability, health care, homelessness, burial, tax exemptions, employment, VA home loans, and much more.
Transportation Services: Transportation is provided daily from Kingston to the Albany VA Medical Center for Ulster County veterans. Additional feeder routes will accommodate veterans in the Ellenville, Boiceville and Highland corridors at designated pick-up points and consolidate to the Kingston van schedule. Wheelchair-bound veterans may also request special transportation to the Albany VAMC or Kingston outpatient clinic. Reservations are required for all transportation.
Ulster County Veteran'’s Cemetery: Ulster County has a Veterans Cemetery in partnership with the New Paltz Rural Cemetery on 81 Plains Road in New Paltz. Generally, an honorably discharged veteran who is a resident of Ulster County at time of death is eligible for a plot upon request of next of kin.
