Allegheny County's Allegheny Green is located in Pittsburgh, PA is a comprehensive initiative to promote sustainable practices within County government through countywide policies, programs, and green projects.

We promote the sustainable use of valuable natural resources and protection of the environment through internal practices and support of community green programs.   

• Accomplishments - Improvements to county buildings and promotion of programs that reduce our carbon footprint.
• Green Team & Green Champions, Green Action Team - County employees; local business, non-profit and community leaders working on green efforts throughout the region.
• Sustainability Plan - A comprehensive plan to reduce the county's environmental impact.
• Sustainability Program - Promoting programs that create a sustainable work environment by conserving energy usage and reducing water consumption.
