Allegheny County Department of Public Works

We are responsible for the letting and administration of all contracts involving the construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair and improvement of county roads and bridges.  We maintain and improve more than 780 lane miles of roads and over 550 bridges and culverts. We also ensure the safety and reliability of the county’s vehicle fleet.
