The Poughkeepsie NY City Administrator is the Chief Administrative Officer of the City and is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the city. Appointed by the Mayor with the concurrence of the Common Council, the City Administrator assists the Mayor and Council in reviewing and developing policy recommendations. The City Administrator assists the Mayor with the development of the annual operating budget and the citys five-year capital plan. The administrator supervises all department heads in the city government except the City Chamberlain and the Corporation Counsel.
