In recent years, Spackenkill High School has continued to have its share of success. Academically, we were selected as one of 12 schools in the United States to participate in the University of Cambridge Pre-U/Global Perspectives and Independent Research (GPR) Program. Our Science Olympiad team has represented New York State at the National Competition. We have also been recognized by Newsweek and The Washington Post as one of Americas Best High Schools. Athletically, our soccer team has won the New York State Championship and our school has been recognized by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYPHSAA) for outstanding sportsmanship.
Spackenkill High School is located in a largely middle to upper middle class suburb of Poughkeepsie, New York. The district is comprised almost entirely of single-family dwellings.
