Welcome to the Queen Village of the Hudson Valley!
The Village of Warwick has been a crossroads of activity for over 300 years since the Minsi Tribe settled by the clear water of the Wawayanda Stream. We are steeped in history – a trapper’s route, a Native American settlement, a thoroughfare and stop during the Revolutionary War, the headquarters for the Lehigh & Hudson Railroad, a destination for wealthy New Yorkers during the Gilded Age.
All of these activities and events have left their mark on our historic Village. Surrounded by working farms the Village has a quality of being untouched. The great love and pride of community is apparent in the physical qualities of a vibrant downtown offering services, cafes, restaurants, shopping surrounded by neighborhoods of well-kept homes both large and small.
There is something magic and unspoiled here – it is the work of generations of love and vision. It is a quintessential small town – filled with the richness of everyday life, extraordinary citizens and possibilities………
